For more than 70 years, Lubbock County FFA and 4-H members have been paticipating in stock shows.
The County Stock Show began in the 1940s and was held on the Slaton High School Football Field.
The Stock Show later gave way to the South Plains Livestock Show that was held at the South Plains Fairgrounds. This show covered approximately 2
For more than 70 years, Lubbock County FFA and 4-H members have been paticipating in stock shows.
The County Stock Show began in the 1940s and was held on the Slaton High School Football Field.
The Stock Show later gave way to the South Plains Livestock Show that was held at the South Plains Fairgrounds. This show covered approximately 21 counties in Texas and a couple from New Mexico.
From this, the Lubbock County Junior Livestock Show was born
and the first show was held in 1964 at the South Plains Fairgrounds.
The 2018 show marked our 55th Anniversary!
